Costa Rican Fever

Have you ever felt the kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix?

Not just physical exhaustion, but the heaviness of schedules, cold air, noise, notifications, expectations… the constant hum of responsibility. The mind that keeps moving long after the day ends.

Now pause for a moment.

Imagine warm air resting on your skin instead of winter biting it. The sound around you isn’t traffic or alarms, it’s water moving over stone and birds calling through the canopy.

The pace slows because nature doesn’t rush, and somehow your breathing remembers that too.

You wake up to sunlight instead of an alarm. Coffee tastes different when you’re barefoot. Time stretches when you’re not measuring it.

You walk a path through the jungle, green in every direction, and the only thing you need to decide is whether to follow the trail or the sound of the waterfall. Eventually, you find it: cool mist in warm air, laughter echoing off the rocks, and for a moment, nothing is required of you.

No fixing. No performing. No proving.

Just being.

That’s the feeling people come back talking about — not just a place, but a remembering. A softening.

A return to yourself that happens naturally when your body finally feels safe enough to unclench.

I’m opening the possibility of a June Costa Rica retreat experience, and I’m feeling into who might be ready for a reset, a breath, and a little jungle medicine for the soul.

If your body exhaled while reading this, you probably already know.
